The Contest Call of Cockenzie and Port Seton Amateur Radio Club

GM2T is the club contest call for Cockenzie and Port Seton Amateur Radio Club (CPSARC)

I have been involved with the club since October 2000 after meeting my good friend Cambell, MM0DXC at a Morse training Event in Harrogate.

The premier amateur radio club in the Edinburgh area, we formed in 1984, and since then have done much to raise the profile of our hobby, not only in Scotland but around the world.

We enter contests, run special event stations,  hold talks, club visits, test nights, and a highly successful junk sale. We also deliver training for all levels of amateur licence, contact Bob GM4UYZ for details. Members of the club travel all over the country (and sometimes the world!) to attend rallies, contests and events. Our award winning newsletter is sent all over the world, and now an electronic version is available on-line.

We are affiliated to the RSGB and hold the callsigns MM0CPS as well as GM2T.

The club meets on the first friday of every month  (second Friday in January) in the Lounge Bar of the Thorntree Inn on Old Cockenzie High Street from 19:00 hrs until closing time.

We have no formal structure and meeting in a pub makes for an informal and friendly atmosphere. All are always welcome and for information on the club please click HERE to visit the club website.
